Company Paradiso Arts Charity

Hi I'm the Director of Company Paradiso and I'd like to let you know that we are facilitating a project in which young people in care can tell their stories. We'll also be working with some adult volunteers. The project partners will be Reading Museum, with a community cabinet exhibition May - June, and BBC Radio Berkshire, with a week of radio broadcasts in late May.

Company Paradiso's mission is to enable people to tell their stories.  Last year we organised the 'Warning: May Contain Nuts' with 'mentally interesting' writers and performers.  The year before our project was 'The New Ballads of Reading Gaol'.  Both projects won national awards.  For more details and to hear radio go to:  www.companyparadiso.co.uk

Reading Düsseldorf Association

Reading’s friendship with Düsseldorf (Germany) started in 1948.  We help people in Reading and Düsseldorf, particularly young people, to make personal friendships and exchange visits.  We work mainly by building links between similar organisations – sports clubs, musical groups, churches, schools, and so on.  We can occasionally make small grants, for example by paying for visits to or from Düsseldorf.  We also have a social programme for our members.

The Allplay Tennis Campaign

The Allplay Tennis Campaign is designed to increase participation in tennis through an online network that helps people find other people to play with and venues to play at. There are now over 6,000 people registered on www.allplaytennis.com who are attached to venues and looking to play, but we are keen to attract more!

If you need help finding your local courts or somebody to play with, visit www.allplaytennis.com. You can search for people in your area of a similar standard who are looking for a game and even contact them to get started. It’s all part of allplay, a national campaign brought to you by the LTA, to help more people play tennis.

Please visit www.allplaytennis.com or call Jo-Anne Downing 07971 141321) for more information.
