How to get to South Street

South Street can be found on the south side of Reading town centre, on the corner of South Street and East Street, near The Oracle.
On foot
(from Reading Station)
At the station, walk down the new concourse to the Heathrow Airbus exit and cross over the road to Blagrave Street, where you will see The Town Hall/The Concert Hall/Museum complex on the left. Go past this and through the pedestrianised The Town Hall Square (between The Town Hall clock tower and Queen Victoria's statue) and cross over by St. Lawrence's Church to the Post Office in the Market Place. Keeping to the left hand side of Market Place, go down the hill to the traffic lights and cross straight over to Duke Street, over the river bridge (Dukes Bridge), straight over the lights ahead (crossing the inner-ring road dual-carriageway) and into London Street. First left up the hill is South Street, with the venue about one hundred metres on the left.
By train
From London to Reading: trains run from London Paddington to Reading at least every 15 minutes throughout the day and late into the night. The journey takes just 25 minutes, if you get a direct train.
From Oxford to Reading: trains run every 15 - 30 minutes and the journey takes 30 minutes.
From Newbury to Reading: trains run every 15 minutes and the journey takes between 20 - 30 minutes.
By Car:
From M4 Junction 11, take the A33 third exit and signposted town centre and Oracle shopping centre). After approx 3 miles the road bears slightly to the right at junction with traffic light and a petrol garage on your left - get into the right hand lane and turn right at the next traffic lights. Drive straight over at the junction (across the road locally referred to as the IDR) keeping the left-hand lane where the road parts and forms a slip road down to the roundabout with a large silver "O". Take the third exit, signopsted A33 Aldershot and University. Go through the next set of traffic lights, which bears round to the right into London Street. After the road veers to the right, take your first left into South Street (Printing.com at the top) and you will find the venue about one hundred metres along on the left.
