A Celebration of Sound - the Mayor's Charity Fundraiser

Join us for A Celebration of Sound — a joyful evening of uplifting live music, community spirit, and local talent in support of the Mayor of Reading’s chosen charities.

Taking place at Reading Town Hall on Friday 1 May at 7pm, this special event will feature performances from Reading Community Gospel Choir, Ma Bessie, and Pete Doyle, with more special guests to be announced nearer the time. It promises to be a memorable night filled with music, energy, and celebration.

This year, the Mayor is proud to support two important local charities: Readifood and Utulivu Women’s Group. Readifood provides vital help to people and families across Reading facing food poverty and financial hardship, while Utulivu Women’s Group offers support, connection, and empowerment to women in the local community. By attending, you’ll not only enjoy a fantastic evening of live entertainment, but also help raise awareness and support for two organisations making a real difference.
