Golden Phoenix Concert.
Every year the choir performs a concert in Reading’s grand Concert Hall.
Come and hear some special anniversary pieces and the first performance of the winning composition in the Walter Hussey Composition Competition, which will be announced at this concert.

Music to be performed at the Golden Phoenix concert will include pieces by Anton Bruckner, Herbert Howells, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Eric Whitacre, Ola Gjeilo, Bob Chilcott and Morten Lauridsen.

Featuring YOU ARE WOLF and the World premiere of the Walter Hussey Composition Competition Winning piece.

YOU ARE WOLF are: vocalist/composer Kerry Andrew with multi-instrumentalist Sam Hall and percussionist Peter Ashwell, who will perform folk songs and lore with unusual, electronica-tinged arrangements.
Their new album, KELD, explores the theme of freshwater, with traditional and original songs about banshees and water sprites, vengeful rivers and wild swimming.

Further tickets are on sale through READING PHOENIX CHOIR.
