Reading Phoenix Choir will be joined by Berkshire Young Voices and Berkshire Children’s Choir. Between them, the three choirs have a wonderful evening of choral music to share with you.

Reading Phoenix Choir will perform a variety of choral music that spans the centuries from the Renaissance to the present day, so there will be something for everybody! The range of music on offer includes both sacred and secular works by composers including: John Sheppard, Charles Villiers Stanford, Gustav Holst, John Rutter, Bob Chilcott and Kim André Arnesen.

Berkshire Young Voices and Berkshire Children’s Choir who will perform a number of pieces and join forces with Reading Phoenix to perform Bob Chilcott’s “Five Days that Changed the World”. This work, written for the Worcester International Festival for Young Singers, is a journey through five globally unifying events: invention of printing, abolition of slavery, first powered flight, discovery of penicillin, first man in space.
